The service
What's included
Curtains quietly absorb years of dust, cooking odours and sunlight, and because taking them down is such a chore, they are often the most neglected fabric in the house. We clean most curtains in situ, while they hang, using low-moisture techniques that protect linings, headers and delicate weaves from shrinkage. Colour lifts, odours go, and your curtains are back to framing the room by the time we leave.
- Cleaned in place, no taking down or re-hanging
- Safe for linings, interlinings and delicate weaves
- No shrinkage risk from controlled low-moisture cleaning
- Dust, allergens and household odours removed
- Nets, voiles, romans and blinds also cleaned
Local to you
Why Walton-on-Thames chooses Prestige
Walton runs from Victorian terraces near the station to the larger detached houses of Ashley Park and the riverside properties along the Thames.
Victorian sash windows in Walton take long, narrow curtains that hold road dust from the high street. In-situ cleaning lifts that without the pair ever leaving the pole.
As a family-run Surrey business we're genuinely local: no call centres, no franchises. The person who quotes your job is the person who arrives at your door, with over eighteen years of experience behind them and full insurance for complete peace of mind.

Questions, answered
Curtain Cleaning FAQs
Do you need to take my curtains down?+
No. In almost all cases we clean curtains in place while they hang, which avoids shrinkage, saves you the cost of re-hanging, and means the room is back to normal the same day.
Will my curtains shrink?+
No. Shrinkage happens when fabrics are soaked or machine-washed. Our controlled low-moisture process keeps moisture well below the level where shrinkage occurs.
Can you clean delicate or lined curtains?+
Yes. Silks, velvets, interlined and blackout-lined curtains are all cleaned with methods matched to the fabric after testing an inconspicuous area.
How often should curtains be cleaned?+
Every 12–18 months keeps dust and allergens under control and stops airborne soiling from permanently dulling the fabric, sooner if anyone in the house has allergies.
Do you clean blinds and voiles too?+
Yes. Roman blinds, fabric blinds, nets and voiles are all part of the service. Ask when you book and we will quote for everything together.
Which parts of Walton-on-Thames do you cover?+
Yes — we cover all of Walton-on-Thames and the surrounding area, including Ashley Park, Hersham, Walton riverside, Halliford, Terrace Road and Oatlands, across KT12. If you are just outside those, ask anyway: we serve the whole of Surrey and rarely turn a job down on distance.
How much does curtain cleaning cost in Walton-on-Thames?+
Every curtain cleaning job in Walton-on-Thames is priced individually and quoted free. The price depends on the number of rooms or pieces, the fabric, and the condition — so we give you a fixed figure before any work starts, with no obligation and no hidden extras. Call 07903 041141 or send a few photos and we can usually quote the same day.
