The service
What's included
A sofa collects more daily life than almost anything else you own, and the wrong cleaning method can shrink, watermark or fade it. That is why we identify the fabric first, test in a hidden area, and only then choose between extraction, dry-foam or hand-finishing methods. Arms, headrests and seat cushions get particular attention, and we finish with a fabric-safe deodoriser so the whole piece feels new again.
- Fabric identification and colour-fastness testing first
- Safe methods for cotton, linen, velvet, wool and synthetics
- Deep cleaning of cushions, arms and headrests
- Stain and odour treatment, including pet accidents
- Optional fabric protection to guard against future spills
Local to you
Why Farnham chooses Prestige
Farnham is a Georgian market town, and Castle Street and the roads around it hold some genuinely historic housing — along with strict expectations about how it is treated.
Farnham houses hold a lot of inherited and antique furniture. Where a piece has age or value we will test discreetly, explain what is achievable, and stop short of anything that puts the fabric at risk.
As a family-run Surrey business we're genuinely local: no call centres, no franchises. The person who quotes your job is the person who arrives at your door, with over eighteen years of experience behind them and full insurance for complete peace of mind.

Questions, answered
Upholstery Cleaning FAQs
Which fabrics can you clean?+
Almost all of them, cotton, linen, wool, velvet, chenille, microfibre and synthetic blends. We test every fabric for colour-fastness first and choose the method to suit; genuinely dry-clean-only pieces are cleaned with low-moisture techniques.
How long does a sofa take to dry?+
Most upholstery is touch-dry in 2–4 hours and fully dry within 4–6. Low-moisture methods on delicate fabrics can be dry in under two hours.
Can you remove pet odours from my sofa?+
Yes. We treat the source, not just the smell, using enzyme-based deodorisers that break down odour-causing bacteria safely.
Is professional cleaning worth it compared to shop-bought products?+
Supermarket foams often set stains and leave sticky residues that attract more dirt. Professional extraction removes the soil itself, dries faster, and is far safer for the fabric, usually for less than the cost of reupholstering a single cushion.
Do you clean leather furniture?+
Our specialism is fabric upholstery. If you have a mixed suite, we can clean the fabric elements and advise on care for the leather parts.
Which parts of Farnham do you cover?+
Yes — we cover all of Farnham and the surrounding area, including Castle Street, Wrecclesham, Rowledge, Upper Hale, Weybourne and Farnham town centre, across GU9 and GU10. If you are just outside those, ask anyway: we serve the whole of Surrey and rarely turn a job down on distance.
How much does upholstery cleaning cost in Farnham?+
Every upholstery and sofa cleaning job in Farnham is priced individually and quoted free. The price depends on the number of rooms or pieces, the fabric, and the condition — so we give you a fixed figure before any work starts, with no obligation and no hidden extras. Call 07903 041141 or send a few photos and we can usually quote the same day.
